This policy explains what personal information Statline collects, how we use it, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using Statline you agree to this policy.

1Who we are

Statline is an independent AFL prop-research and bet-tracking tool operated from Melbourne, Australia. For any privacy matter, contact hello@statline.com.au.

2What we collect

Account information — your email address and authentication details, managed by our login provider (Clerk). We don't store your password.
Data you create — the bets/slips you record, settlement results, bankroll and risk settings, and display preferences.
Usage & device data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser/device type and pages visited, used to run and secure the service.
Payment data — if you subscribe, payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card details.

The AFL statistics, odds and commentary shown in Statline are public sporting data about players and teams — not your personal information.

3How we use it

To provide, personalise and secure your account and the features you use;
To store and display your bet tracking, settings and results across your devices;
To process subscriptions and provide support;
To maintain, debug and improve the service, and to detect misuse;
To send essential service communications (and, only with consent, any marketing — which you can opt out of at any time).

We do not sell your personal information.

4Service providers

We share limited data with trusted providers who help us run Statline:

Clerk — authentication and account management;
Convex — application database (your slips, settings and results);
Vercel — hosting and delivery of the app.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound to protect your data. Some operate servers outside Australia (e.g. the United States); by using Statline you consent to your information being stored and processed overseas, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.

5Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service securely. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop the app from working.

6Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it by law.

7Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

8Your rights

You can:

Access the personal information we hold about you;
Correct it if it's inaccurate;
Delete your account and associated data;
Opt out of any non-essential communications.

9Children

Statline is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

10Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
